At the AIIC, we are dedicated to improving the quality and consistency of inventory reports across the UK.
All members follow our Code of Practice and meet our required reporting standards, ensuring that every AIIC badge stands for quality, accuracy, and integrity.

When you apply, we will ask you to submit recent sample reports for review. If any areas need improvement, we’ll support you through tailored training and guidance — helping you become the best inventory clerk you can be.

Membership Levels

  • For clerks who have been working independently for over one year.
  • If you are new to the industry, you can begin with our AIIC “Become an Inventory Professional” Course, which covers everything you need to produce high-quality reports and operate as an inventory clerk.
  • Complete the course and receive 50% off your first year’s membership.
  • You’ll be asked to submit example reports and proof of insurance each year to maintain membership.

Application Requirements

When submitting your application:

  • Reports must be no older than six months.
  • Reports can be for an unfurnished or furnished property.
  • Your Check-Out Report must include:
    • Allocation of liability (fair wear and tear, damages, dilapidations, maintenance).
    • The original inventory condition and the date of the inventory or check-in document.
  • Available to Full Members with five or more consecutive years of AIIC membership — recognising consistent professionalism and long-term commitment to quality.

  • For clerks working under or alongside an existing AIIC Full Member.
  • Pro-rata rates are available for associates joining within the membership year of the full membership holder.
